What Must I Do To Be Saved?

This is a study guide prepared so that you can research and determine those steps necessary for your salvation.  Click on the scripture reference to open it.  Read what the scripture says and then answer the simple questions following each one. 

2 Peter 1:3
Has God given us everything we need for life and godliness?
If so do we need any other information other than what the Bible provides?
 

2 Timothy 3:16-17
Do we need other revelations to make us spiritually complete?
 

John 12:48
Whose words will judge us in the last day?
 

John 14:6
Should we go to Jesus and His words to find out how to please God?
Could our husbands, wives, parents, or friends give us the words of life?
Is the way to the Father through; the pope, John Calvin, or Martin Luther?
 

Matthew 7:13-14
Will the majority of people enter heaven
Is the majority a safe guide for your spiritual life?
Do you want to go to heaven?
 

Matthew 7:21-23
Could Jesus say depart from me even if you are sincere and call on His name
and do many good works?
 

Matthew 28:20
Is it your understanding that you must do all the will of God to please
Him?
 

John 3:16
Is it God's will that you believe Jesus is His Son?
 

John 14:15
If you do not obey Christ do you love Him?
 

Luke 13:3
Is it necessary to repent?
 

Matthew 10:32-33
Is it necessary to confess Christ's name before men?
 

Mark 16:15-16
Is salvation promised to those who believe and are baptized?
 

Acts 2:37-38, 41, 47
Did these people believe the word and obey the command to be baptized?
Were there sins forgiven at baptism?
Did the Lord add these saved souls to just some denomination or to His, the
Lord's church?
 

Matthew 16:18
Did Jesus promise to build the church of your choice or did He promise to
build His one church?

If a person understands these verses and believes that Christ is the son of God, is willing to repent of his or her sins, will be willing to proclaim Christ's name to others and is willing to be baptized in water, then that person can become a child of God.
