Understanding of the biblical concept of sanctification is very important in understanding our conversion and God's role in it.  As an introduction to our lesson, it's interesting to note that the words most often translated, “sanctify”, “holy”, and “saints”  all come from the same root word in the Greek which means two separate or set apart. Let's remember that as we go along today.

Regardless of your past you can be washed, sanctified and justified if you are willing.  Those who have been sanctified must live a separated life. Our new sanctified lives should reflect God's character-“be holy, for I am holy”. Has our conduct been clean? Have we been using our members for righteousness?
