Noah

					Introduction:

A recently-released movie has been making waves. That movie
is “Noah.” It has received a variety of reviews; many refer
to the spectacular special effects. But how accurate is it
with respect to the Biblical account? The director himself
said, “It is the least Biblical Biblical movie ever made.”

					Body:

					I. The Movie and the Bible

					·

					Read

					Genesis 6:13-21.

					·

					Some observations from the movie:

					o

The word “God” is never used, just the word “Creator.”

					o

Fallen angels become “Watchers.” They look like rock
					transformers.

					o

Noah scolds a young Ham for picking a flower. There is a
strong environmental element that runs throughout the movie.

					o

Noah tells his wife that mankind is being punished for what
they have done to the earth, not because of sin!

					o

Noah received a seed from Methusaleh that supposedly came
from the Garden of Eden. That seed grows into a garden which
provides the wood for the ark.

					o

Noah and his wife make a sleeping potion and give it to the
animals so they fall asleep instantly.

					o

Tubal Cain [Lamech’s son] sneaks aboard the ark.

					o

Shem’s wife delivers twins on the ark.

					o

Noah recounts the history of man and it begins with the Big
Bang and is followed by the evolution of amoeba to man.

					o

Throughout the movie, Noah is more concerned about plants
					and animals than people.

					·

Many more contradictions could be mentioned. So this film
truly is the least Biblical Biblical movie ever.

					II.	Lessons from the Ark

					·

Just as God told Noah to build one ark; Christ built only
					one church. (Matthew
					16:18, Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 4:4)

					·

The ark only had one door; so does the church. (John
					10:9, 14:6)

					·

Salvation was found only in the ark. (Genesis
					7:21-23)
Salvation is found only in the church. (Ephesians
					5:23)

					·

Those in the ark were saved through water. (I Peter 3:20)
Those in the church were saved through water. (I
					Peter 3:21)

					Conclusion:

All those outside the ark lost their lives. All those
outside the church will lose their lives also.
