Brother Lito leads us in singing during our  first service of the Lord’s Church on Tinian.

Brother Boyet officiated at a traditional Filipino wedding ceremony that we were blessed to be able to attend.  The couple and some of their family has been visiting our worship for some weeks now. (A cord is being tied around the couple to show how they will be bound together in marriage.)

The Saipan church of Christ family before Scott and Melinda Crockett returned to the states.  Brother Steve Vice, elder and minister of the Forest Park church of Christ in Atlanta, was visiting.  Brother Vice and his family lived on Saipan for 11 years.  He took a brief stop on his way home from Chuuk to exhort and encourage the brethren.

Hello friends,

We are pretty much settled in now, and things are going well.  We have had contact from so many of you, our friends, and it is truly encouraging.  Thank you all for your prayers, emails, and letters.  Each one is truly appreciated.

The children are doing well.  We have received permission to home school from the Commissioner of Schools.  We begin studies next Wednesday, the 13th.  Because of our moving, Jacob had some science to finish and Sarah had math. They have been working on it this summer, and are ready for this year’s work.

We have a cheerful addition to our home.  In Tennessee, we had a dog and two cats.  We found homes for them, and we promised Sarah that when we got settled here she could have a cat.  Aladin is our new addition.  He’s a ball of fire, as most kittens are.  Sarah is getting lots of lessons in responsibility which she did not realize were coming.

Thank you for your continued prayers.  Please continue to bring us up to the Lord of all.

Maria
